Q: How do I cancel my KCRW membership?
A: We hope you’ll stay a KCRW member forever, but we understand that circumstances may change.
Need to cancel? If you wish to modify or cancel your monthly donation, you can submit an online ticket, email membership@kcrw.org, or call (888) 600-5279. Our Membership team will promptly assist you with your request Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Timing: Upon receiving your request, it will take up to two business days to process the change or cancellation. If your monthly donation has already been charged for the current month, the change will take effect the following month.
Refunds: We are unable to offer refunds for any monthly donations. However, we are happy to discuss any concerns you may have regarding your donation.
Confirmation: You will receive confirmation once your request has been processed.

A: NPR+ is a special collection of podcast benefits that includes:

A: Any donation makes you a member! Q: Which payment methods does KCRW accept for donations?
A: KCRW accepts Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) via bank accounts (recommended), debit cards, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), Apple Pay, PayPal, Link by Stripe, personal checks, cashier's checks, and money orders. KCRW also accepts stock transfers, wire transfers, and contributions from donor-advised funds.

Q: Does KCRW accept matching gift programs from employers?
A: Your employer may match the tax-deductible portion of your contribution through a matching gift program. You can find more information about matching gifts and a searchable database of participating employers — and access the forms, guidelines, and instructions that you need to submit a matching gift request — here . Or, you can contact the Human Resources or Community Relations Department of your employer to obtain a matching gift form.

Q: How do I access my digital member card in the KCRW app?
A: Open the KCRW App. You should automatically be prompted to create a free account. If not, tap the person icon in the upper left.
Tap the ‘Create free account’ button, enter the email address associated with your membership, and tap ‘Continue’. Forgot the email address on your account? Please email membership@kcrw.org.
Create a unique app password and tap ‘Continue’.
Check your email for a verification sent from postmaster@mg.kcrw.org. Tap ‘This is my email address’ and you’ll be redirected back to the KCRW App.
Access your KCRW member card on the ‘Members’ tab (look for the crown on the lower right corner), and then click the card icon in the upper right corner.
Q: How do I switch my payment method to EFT (bank transfer)?
A: You can switch your payment method to EFT (bank transfer) through our secure payment portal. Once you verify your bank account, your next monthly donation will be made via bank transfer. Please verify within 3 days to avoid cancellation.
Q: Can I give through a donor-advised fund (charitable giving account)?
A: Yes! You can use your donor-advised fund (DAF) to make a one-time or recurring donation.

Q: How do I locate my KCRW member number?
A: You can find your member number on the back of your member card or on your member digital card in the KCRW app. You can also find it located just above your name and address on all KCRW mailings and email receipts. You have to provide your member number to access select benefits.

Q: What is a KCRW thank you gift?
A: When you become a member through our join page, you can choose a gift starting at the $60 level. It’s our way of saying thanks! Selecting a thank you gift will impact the tax-deductible amount of your donation as we are required to report the Fair Market Value on your tax statement.

A: Yes! Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.
Q: How can I receive KCRW Member Texts?
A: Signing up for KCRW Member Texts is as simple as texting our number and verifying your contact information. You do not need to download a separate app.
You must be an active KCRW member to participate. There are a couple ways you can sign-up to receive texts from KCRW Membership:
- Email us at membership@kcrw.org. Once we verify your membership, you’ll receive instructions on how to join.
- Find the latest Member Insider or Monthly Member newsletter and scroll to the bottom of the email. You will see opt-in instructions there.
We’ll roll out more ways to join in the coming months. You can choose how many texts you’d like to receive per week. We will instantly communicate the member benefits you care about and share recommendations from our Music department.
We will never solicit you for donations on this texting channel. If you ever want to stop receiving texts, simply text the word “STOP” to the KCRW Membership number. Q: Are KCRW donations tax-deductible?
A: KCRW, a nonprofit public radio station, is wholly owned and operated by Santa Monica College. Contributions to KCRW are tax-deductible to the extent allowed under Internal Revenue Code Section 170(b). KCRW's Tax ID is #95-3750631.
Per IRS guidelines, if you received any thank you gift(s) as part of your donation, the tax-deductible amount is the value of your donation minus the fair market value of your thank you gift(s).

Q: What are KCRW Partner Perks (formerly Fringe Benefits)?
A: Exclusively available to members, Partner Perks is our longstanding program that provides exclusive discounts to members at restaurants, small businesses, and cultural institutions across Southern California.
A searchable database and map of all participating businesses are available on the KCRW app. Members who log in to the app have access to their digital member card, which can be presented to receive discounts from participating providers.

Q: How do I get a replacement member card?
A: We’ve phased out physical member cards, as the KCRW App is the quickest and most reliable way to show current membership status and expiration date. If you haven't already created a free KCRW App account, click here for a full step-by-step guide.

Q: How do I make a donation in honor of a loved one?
A: Go to KCRW’s join page and make the desired donation. After you press ‘DONATE’ at the bottom of the page, you will have an opportunity to add a note on the confirmation page.
In that notes field, please indicate the following:
- The person(s) the gift is being made in honor of
- The occasion (if appropriate)
- The person(s) you would like an acknowledgment sent to as well as the relevant contact information (email address or mailing address
