Q: Are KCRW donations tax-deductible?
A: KCRW, a nonprofit public radio station, is wholly owned and operated by Santa Monica College. Contributions to KCRW are tax-deductible to the extent allowed under Internal Revenue Code Section 170(b). KCRW's Tax ID is #95-3750631.
Per IRS guidelines, if you received any thank you gift(s) as part of your donation, the tax-deductible amount is the value of your donation minus the fair market value of your thank you gift(s).
A tax letter is issued each January for the previous calendar year to members via email or mail. If you have not received a tax letter or would like to request one, please contact the KCRW Membership Department by submitting an online ticket or at membership@kcrw.org.
